Consera Steel Structure System
Consera aims to provide its customers with a privileged service that maximizes the value of what the Steel Structure System can offer. Creating awareness about the significance of steel structures domestically and internationally, promoting its preference in areas where it stands out, and ensuring the widespread adoption of this construction system are driving forces for Consera.
The company strives to utilize the opportunities presented by engineering and construction to offer customers more efficient, more economical, higher-performing, longer-lasting, sustainable, and environmentally friendly structures.
Consera Steel Structure Services
Design
Consera stands out from similar companies due to its distinguished Structural Design team, which has expertise in steel structures and has successfully executed numerous projects over the past 20 years.
This distinctive feature that propels Consera to the forefront in the field of engineering is built on a strong relationship with leading companies in steel structures, namely Akşan Yapı and Akkon Çelik, both in Turkey and internationally. Our Structural Design team is capable of designing even complex structures in a highly efficient and cost-effective manner.
They ensure the creation of long-lasting and high-value buildings that can withstand challenging conditions such as earthquakes, storms, and more. The team collaborates with Architectural Design Offices chosen by the client or designated by Consera. They can work with both domestic and international Design Offices, managing the entire process from the conceptual stage to permitting and implementation phases. For international projects, the team provides comprehensive services, including preparing designs compliant with the regulations of the respective country, obtaining official approvals, and, in some cases where regulations are nonexistent, collaborating with government institutions and universities to formulate regulations.
Manufacturing
Consera aims to provide the most efficient structural solution tailored to the needs of the client and the project. In this context, cold-formed steel (CFS), hot-rolled steel (HRS), and reinforced concrete structural systems are used in relevant parts of the structure based on their respective advantages. Within the scope of cold-formed steel systems (CFS), light steel systems (LGS: Light Gauge Steel / LSF: Light-steel Framing) are produced in Consera’s Production Facility. The annual capacity of our facility is 55,000 tons, which is approximately equivalent for an area of 1,000,000 m2 of building to be constructed. For the production of HRS systems, Consera collaborates with Solution Partners in the Steel Industry, overseeing and managing the entire production process.
Assembly and Construction
In addition to Design and Manufacturing services, Consera offers its customers the option of Design & Build and Turnkey services with Installation/Construction services.
Depending on the client’s preference, we can provide services for the entire project, including the structural system or the complete package involving mechanical, electrical, and architectural finishes. For projects where we assume construction responsibility during the on-site processes, we can collaborate with national or international consultancy firms.
Additionally, we are capable of providing Consultancy services to oversee and manage construction by inspecting the steel application company chosen by the client.
Steel Structure Manufacturing Methods
Profile System
The structural system of the building is constructed using pre-engineered load bearing steel profiles. Thanks to the mechanical assembly of the components, there is no need for on-site cutting, resizing, welding, or similar practices. Our profiles are sent to the site with unique identification numbers according to the Installation Plan. On-site, they are matched efficiently using the identification numbers on the Installation Plan, ensuring a fast and effective installation of the structural system without the need for cutting, resizing, welding, etc.
Panel System
In addition to the profile system, the process of transforming the profiles into load-bearing walls, floors, and ceiling elements is completed at the Production Facility, creating pre-engineered panels. These load-bearing elements are sent to the site in the form of pre-engineered panels. The panels are then assembled on-site, matched and combined according to the Installation Plan based on their unique identification numbers. Compared to traditional methods, the profile system requires less worker and time on-site.
Pod System
In traditional construction, there is often required an additional need for worker and much more time on-site to construct Wet Spaces (such as bathrooms and kitchens) or Technical Spaces where utilities are installed. Significant time and budget savings can be achieved by manufacturing these spaces in the Production Facility and delivering them ready for installation on-site. Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology allows the production of Wet Spaces in the Production Facility in a way that avoids clashes, even before the foundation of the building is laid. This method is particularly advantageous in residential and hotel structures where Wet Spaces are densely located.
Volumetric System
Unlike the pod method, this approach involves manufacturing larger volumes of the structure in the Production Facility. In this method, the structural system of the building is resolved with the vertical and horizontal planes of the Modular Volume, and a separate structural system is not constructed on-site. This method is particularly prominent in buildings with repetitive floor layouts, such as hotels and residential structures.
Hybrid System
The method involves using elements from the above systems in sections where the advantages offered by several of these systems stand out, aligning with the needs of the project.
